U.S. stocks closed lower on Tuesday after investors returned to trading action following Labor Day weekend. The Dow dropped 0.55%, the S&P 500 fell 0.41% and the tech-heavy Nasdaq closed down 0.74% for its seventh-straight day of losses, which marks the longest streak since 2016.
